Its good to have a face to put with that voice on the other end of the telephone line. So, we thought you would like to see the marketing staff who take your calls and answer your questions. Of course, each of these ladies wears more than one hat and has many other duties as well. They are described (in a nutshell) below, left to right:
Robin Wood - Human Resources - Robin handles payroll and most human resources matters. She also arranges for in-house training and chairs the fire and disaster committee.
Sharon Jones - Activities Director - Sharon plans and carries out the many varied activities for the residents of the Home and drives the van for shopping and sightseeing trips. She is also the official Home photographer for activities and ID pictures.
Nellie Martin - Executive Secretary - Nellie is administrative assistant to the Director and handles many administrative and secretarial duties in addition to marketing and admissions.

MEET OUR MEDICAL STAFF
The medical department is comprised of 24 full and part-time employees with titles ranging from RN, LPN, RMA, CNA, Nurse’s Aide, and Dietary Aide. These employees are required to continuously undergo vigorous training and testing in order to meet the licensing requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia while also providing extraordinary care to the residents of the Home. The staff, under the direction of Pam Mutter, Director of Nursing, is dedicated to the health and well-being of the residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They provide medical care to the residents, of course, but they are also there to listen, comfort or to just give a little extra tender loving care. They take great pride in their jobs and enjoy being a part of the Elks National Home as evidenced by their average length of service, which is 10 years. The residents know that they are in very good hands.
