THE HOME’S FIRST PHYSICIAN
The first physician at the Elks National Home, Dr. R. G. O’Hara, did a beautiful wood carving of the Elk emblem. It was donated to the Home by Dr. O’Hara’s family and it is now on display in the main lobby.
We express our thanks to Dr. O’Hara’s family for this lovely and interesting piece of the Home’s history.
HOGs visit the Home
Members of the Albany Schenectady HOG Motorcycle Club visited the Home in May. While they were here they introduced some of the residents to the
joys of motorcycle riding.
